The same refund policy we have for tuition applies to lodging. In other words, you will not be refunded when there is less than a month to the workshop start-up date unless another student takes your spot.

The fee per night includes one night’s lodging, a breakfast, and a dinner. These three items must be contiguous, in other words dinner-lodging-breakfast; lodging-breakfast-dinner; or breakfast-dinner-lodging. (Skipping meals will not bring the price down.)

What we do need from you now is your commitment to which nights you want to be here. Many of you coming a long distance will probably want to arrive the evening before your workshop begins while those of you traveling a shorter distance may prefer to arrive that morning. Please think carefully about your plans. We are trying to keep this as simple as possible logistically so that we can keep prices down going forward.

We require a two-night minimum.

Payment is due one month before the beginning of the workshop for which you registered.

Our group will be using the ground floor of a dorm residence recently added to a Victorian house.

For your $70 you can expect:

  • one night’s lodging in a very nice, secure dorm (room and single bed)
  • one breakfast and one dinner (there’s always a salad bar as well as entrees)
  • a packet of bed and bathroom linens (you make your own bed)
  • air conditioning
  • pleasant common room with TV
  • wireless internet access for your laptop
  • outside seating on a porch
  • kitchenette where you can store drinks and/or snacks (you need to clean up after yourself)
  • coin-operated washer and dryer if you want to pack light and do your own laundry (laundry detergent not provided)
  • shared unisex bathroom (you may want to bring a robe) with toilet stalls as well as shower stalls that have a private dressing space
  • nearby parking lot
  • dining hall not far away on campus (nice view overlooking a pond; there will be a table reserved for our group)
  • no concierge or maid service (this is a dorm so please don’t expect hotel services)
  • We will meet you when you arrive, and give you your key card which will open the outside door as well as your room.
  • Garage Annex School just a short walk away (two blocks)

There are nine rooms available. Seven of these rooms have two beds in them. If your spouse/partner is coming or you want to share a room with someone, the same price applies for each of you, i.e., two people sharing a room pay $70 per night per person.

If all nine rooms fill and we have additional requests for lodging, we may ask if you are willing to share your room but you are not required to share your room. If you share your room, the price is still $70 per night.

IMPORTANT:
You need to pay in full no later than one month before the first day of the workshop you are attending (this is when any balance is due on tuition too). The same refund policy we have for tuition applies to lodging in that you will not be refunded when there is less than a month to the workshop start-up date unless another student takes your spot.

So please let us know which nights you want reserved (we’ll be in touch to ask which meals you want).

We are very happy to be able to offer this option to you. While there are a few cheaper motels in the area they won’t compare favorably to the experience you will have at Williston. When you add the good meals in, it’s really a bargain. Staying at Williston will make for an easy and relaxing experience, allowing you to concentrate on what you are learning. Yahoo!
